With QMetry, you can execute automated as well as manual test cases. The manual test cases execution status can be managed within QMetry. Automated test cases use the QAgent (QMetry Agent) to invoke your test scripts for any Test Automation tools using command line and report the execution results back into QMetry.

One of the most powerful feature of QAgent is that it enables QMetry to easily integrate with not only commercial and open-source automation tools, but also with your homegrown tools. QMetry provides a user friendly interface through which you can schedule your test scripts for execution at a time in future. QAgent kicks off your test automation scripts on your test machine at the set time and brings back result to QMetry. QMetry uses these results to provide you extensive reports on your test case execution progress.

How it works:

QAgent constantly pools for the scheduled Test Suites executions
When QMetry Agent finds a scheduled test execution, it collects all the information related to Test Cases and passes this information to QMetry Intermediate Script
You can configure QMetry Intermediate Script in any scripting/programming language and modify it based on your specific needs.
QMetry Intermediate Script obtains all information related to a Test Case from QMetry Agent and invokes Test Script associated with each Test Cases
Once Test Script execution is completed, QMetry Intermediate Script updates Test Execution Status
